Dr Anderson is a Senior Lecturer in Management Education and Director of Online Programmes at the University of Liverpool. She was previously Senior Lecturer at the University of Salford and has worked as a manager in the retail sector and in local government. She has served as a member of the Northern Leadership Academy’s Think Tank.
She holds a PhD in Management Learning and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Her research interests centre on social learning, particularly how groups create critical reflection, action learning and management and leadership development and evaluation.
Lisa is also interested in the nature and purpose of business school education. She is co-convenor of the Professions and Professional Education Knowledge Platform at the University of Liverpool Management School. Projects include a joint piece of work with colleagues at Lancaster University and Fujitsu Services using narrative analysis software to evaluate management development interventions and a comparative study of management and medical students.
