Aduragbemi Banke-Thomas was awarded a Bachelor in Medicine and a Bachelor in Surgery from Lagos State University, Nigeria. He is a scholar of the Erasmus Mundus Europubhealth programme during which he completed a Masters in Public Health with distinction at the University of Sheffield, and a second in Health Policy and Programme Management at Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Santé Publique and Sciences Po, Rennes, France. Aduragbemi is rounding up his doctoral studies at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, where he also contributes to postgraduate teaching.
He teaches several modules of the University of Liverpool online Master of Public Health programme including Health Economics and Finance, Management of Health Systems, Programme and Policy Challenges in Low Income Countries, and Monitoring and Evaluation of Systems and Programmes.
Aduragbemi has significant experience working in public, non-profit and consulting organisations across Africa, America and Europe. He is a fellow of the McCain Institute of International Leadership.
