Dr Carole Baskin’s recent research has focused on bio-security and science policy. She has published extensively on emerging zoonotic infections with highly pathogenic organisms, with a focus on host-pathogen interactions. As well as having published peer-reviewed articles on these topics, she has co-edited a book entitled 'Ensuring National Biosecurity' (Elsevier, 2016). Carole is a veterinarian with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and advanced training in comparative medicine and infectious diseases. She is currently a member of an expert panel that advises on US Biosecurity Policy.
