Dr Rathin Basu has published on technology and the evolution of economies as well as in the area of international management and been associated with online instruction and course design for more than 10 years. He earned his PhD from Virginia Tech on the changes in economies resulting from changes in technology. He also holds a master’s degree in International Administrative Studies from Ohio University. He received a Fulbright Fellowship as well as the Salzburg Fellowship.
Rathin is engaged in research on macroeconomic changes and technological and resources relationships. Additional areas of research include management and culture. He has won awards from the Regional Science Association and the European Foundation for Management Development for his research and publications. In addition to his role with the University of Liverpool online, he is Professor of Economics at Ferrum College, Virginia and has served as Chair of the Department of Business and Economics. He is also affiliated with Hollins University, Virginia.
