Dr Angel Garcia has a PhD from the University of York and has taught psychology and education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Latin America and in Europe, both face-to-face and online. He is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and an associate member of the American Psychological Association (APA).
As an educational psychologist, Angel has focused on developmental psychology working with children from neonatal stages to first and second grades of primary school aiming to promote appropriate personal development and enhance children’s academic performance. His research centres on child development, children’s learning processes, preschool transition and educational psychology. He has pioneered research into preschool transition in Latin American contexts, an area which has been overlooked in the international literature.
