Stamatis Elntib is a research-driven Psychologist with expertise in lie-detection and suspect-interviewing. He holds two undergraduate degrees, an MSc and completed his PhD thesis on verbal lie detection.
Teaching both online and campus-based students at undergraduate and postgraduate level, Stamatis has taught at a range of institutions across the UK. He has also trained defence and police personnel in the UK and US in rapport-based interviewing techniques.
His work has been published in the Journal of Psychology, Public Policy and Law, the Journal of Investigative Psychology and Offender Profiling, and the South African Journal of Psychology. Stamatis has been a faculty member on the University of Liverpool’s online psychology programme since its beginning. He says “I am very keen in teaching students of different backgrounds and ages as well as using different teaching approaches.”
