“I worked hard to make time for my study and to fit it into my busy schedule,” said Eiman, a senior maintenance material controlman at the Dhahran headquarters of the Saudi Aramco oil company. She studied online and travelled to Liverpool in July 2017 to receive her MSc in Operations and Supply Chain Management degree at the official graduation ceremony.
It was a recommendation from her employer that convinced her to take up the challenge of online study. “I was advised by my supervisor that this master’s was relevant to the nature of my job,” said Eiman, who completed her degree with research into inventory management systems.
Describing her online study as “a valuable learning experience”, Eiman said that she particularly enjoyed two aspects: reading research papers in order to deepen her knowledge and participating in class with other students.
“I feel lucky that I got the chance to interact with such a diversity of international students. It was a very rich experience,” she said.
“The University of Liverpool Online offers a very rich experience to any student whose goal is to enrich himself (or herself), and add more to his or her life and career, in addition to having more opportunities to become well-informed about international business.”
What’s next? “I am hoping to get advanced in my career and to share my experience with others,” said Eiman.
