“If you’re looking for a well-diversified IT curriculum that offers ample challenge, modern, current and well delivered foundational IT concepts – with the flexibility of 100% online completion – there is no better option than the University of Liverpool,” said Karl, who graduated with distinction in July 2017.
Originally from the Caribbean island of Grenada, Karl moved to Canada in 2007 and lives in Oshawa, Ontario. “There were many things I enjoyed about the Liverpool online studies, but most of all I would say that I enjoyed the rich global diversity of IT professionals present in the classroom space which allowed for profound discussions, providing a real-time global context,” he said.
Karl studied online from Canada but travelled to Liverpool to receive his degree in person, along with a Student of the Year award. “For me, graduation represents the culmination of a personal academic and life journey, and marks the start of a new and exciting professional phase of life,” he said. “My degree has added an amazing achievement to my resume and will absolutely aid in career upward mobility.”
After completing his master’s with research into the integration of cloud computing concepts into college IT curricula, Karl has set his sights on exploring opportunities to move towards a cloud computing infrastructure role.
