A master's degree can have a considerable positive impact on your career, and if you gain your degree online from an accredited university you can expect it to have the same value as a degree earned on-campus.
MBAs from reputable universities and business schools are globally recognised as highly valuable qualifications, with holders in high demand.
According to a Graduate Management Admission Council’s 2015 survey, early job offers for MBA graduates and those who have master's degrees in accounting, finance and management are up on 2014, and a greater percentage of business graduates who are staying in their current jobs are expecting promotions.
The survey also shows that the vast majority of graduates agree that their education has improved their chances of finding a job and given them a competitive advantage in the job market.
University of Liverpool online MSc graduate Bryan Starling is one good example of the many graduates who report receiving promotions at work or new opportunities since gaining their masters online.
“Having got the degree, I’ve been promoted and it’s led to a great opportunity for me to move to the USA,” says Bryan, from the UK, who works for an international airport baggage handling company.
While a master's degree can undoubtedly help give you the skills and knowledge you need to succeed, as a professional, you may find that an online masters programme is a better fit with your working life than studying for a degree on campus for a number of reasons:
One person who saw an immediate impact from doing his master's online with the University of Liverpool was logistics and supply chain professional Adedayo Fatoke. “I was able to take everything I learned in my course and put it into practice and see the results. We started getting new business and I got promoted.” Adedayo explains.
The online learning model at the University of Liverpool is highly collaborative and we have students on our online programmes who live and work in over 160 counties worldwide. They get to hear how other professionals are dealing with the same challenges as they work on real issues and test out best practices.
Our online master's graduates can attest to the impact an online degree has had on their working lives.
