The University of Liverpool Postgraduate Award in Cyber Crime Prevention programme is designed for technology professionals wanting to develop practical skills and strengthen their current understanding of big data analytics and data mining.

Both educational qualifications and work experience are considered when you apply to the University.

  • If weak IT experience, Letter of Recommendation
  • Copies of important IT Certificates

  • Minimum five years’ relevant experience - will be reviewed on a case by case basis
  • Fundamental understanding of programming languages

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY

You must prove that you meet the minimum English language proficiency requirements for this programme by providing results of an IELTS/TEEP or TOEFL exam taken in the last five years unless:

  • You are a citizen of an English-speaking country (as defined by the UK government)*
  • You have completed a UK-equivalent bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral programme conducted entirely in English and were awarded a degree (you must show evidence of this degree)

Published work in English cannot be used as evidence of English language proficiency.

  • An overall score of at least 6.5, and
  • A score of at least 7 on each of the reading and writing elements, and
  • The IELTS reading and writing tests taken by candidates must be the Academic Reading and Academic Writing tests
  • CA score of at least 570 on the paper based test, or
  • A score of at least 88 on the internet based test (with a minimum of 22 in both the reading and the writing components), or
  • A score of at least 230 on the computer based test (with a score of at least 4.5 on the essay section of the test)
