Study online, celebrate on campus!

Move ahead with a University of Liverpool online degree programme and you can have the best of both worlds – studying 100% online from where you are and graduating in person, in Liverpool, if you choose.

Many of our successful online students choose to graduate at the official ceremonies that the University holds twice a year, in summer and winter, in or near its Liverpool campus. Coming from all over the world, online graduates see this as an opportunity to crown their achievements, as well as to meet people they have interacted with online, and get to know the city and University.

In July 2017, we welcomed over 500 successful online students to the University’s summer graduation week. They were part of a graduating class of more than 1,000 students from 117 countries. We are now getting ready to welcome our graduating online students to the winter graduation ceremonies on 5 and 6 December.

Online Graduates’ Recognition Ceremony & Reception

In addition to your graduation ceremony, as a graduate who studied online you’ll be invited to attend the Online Graduates’ Recognition Ceremony & Reception at a premium venue in the city.

This is a special event, organised in conjunction with the University’s online learning partner Laureate, and includes networking, refreshments and the presentation of awards to students who have excelled in their online programme or dissertation. Not to be missed, it’s one of the few occasions when online graduates get the chance to meet each other, mingle with faculty members and talk with some of the Student Support staff who have guided them through their studies.

Are you an online student getting ready to graduate in December? Look out for an email nearer the time, inviting you to the Online Graduates’ Recognition Ceremony & Reception on 5 December.
